Product information

In fall and winter we still want to be out and about. As a Wildling for the whole family, Tejo reliably weathers the cold season. The upper material of the mid-cut is made from recycled cotton and is woven particularly tightly. The minimalist shoe also has an integrated water-repellent membrane in all sizes as well as water flaps in adults and kids sizes that act as an additional water barrier.
Inside, Tejo is lined with wool from Wildling’s cooperation partner Nordwolle and therefore has no insole. However, the model can easily be supplemented with insoles such as the Wooly or Felty to keep even more warmth inside the shoe.
A new feature has been added to the previous Tejo model: the Shell Sole is a further development to the familiar Gap Sole and is characterized by its durability and moisture protection from below. For small children, even in the current colors, Tejo retains the familiar outsole, the Cub Sole.
The new colors are all thanks to the Wildling community: according to a survey, the autumnal colors olive and aubergine are among the most popular.
Tejo distinguishes itself from the adult sizes in children’s and toddler sizes with a playfully fun design. That’s why the children’s version of this model is available up to size 37 and the adult version from size 36.

Sizes 35 and 36 have the same interior length; however, they each fit differently: Compared with size 35, size 36 has a wider circumference.

Care

Waterproofing before first-time wear
Before first-time wear, we do recommend that you waterproof the edging again. This may cause the edging to darken slightly, so don’t be surprised. There is no need to apply waterproofing treatment to the entire shoe right out of the box – that has already been taken care of during production (and in this case, doubling up won’t make it last longer).
Tip: Using a brush is the best way to apply the waterproofing product. If you choose to spray it on, be sure to cover the rest of the shoe. Repeat the waterproofing treatment as needed.
Cleaning
The best way to clean soiled shoes is by knocking them together when they are dry, brushing them carefully as needed when dry, or by wiping them carefully with a damp cloth. Not machine washable.
Post-treatment
We recommend follow-up waterproofing treatments with a suitable product if necessary.
Allow shoes to dry thoroughly after waterproofing. The upper may rub off onto light-colored fabrics when wet.

Additional notes

Every single shoe is a handmade one of a kind, with an upper made from natural material. The structure and coloration may exhibit minor irregularities.
A hue appears different depending on the lighting conditions. That's why colors always look a little different on the screen, in artificial light at home, or outside in sunlight.
The upper may rub off onto light-colored fabrics when wet.
When putting on, please note: Widen the opening of the shoe sufficiently by loosening the laces. This minimizes wear on the material and extends the life of the shoe.
When using ride-on toys, we recommend additional protection against scuffing.

They are great for me...

Tejo aubergine EU 37

They are great for me in terms of length and also with my ankle. Unfortunately, they are too narrow in width for me and I can't put an insole in. Then they're too short. Unfortunately, I also push my big toe on the inside.

Unfortunately not my shoes anymore

Tejo aubergine EU 39

I've been wearing wildlings for almost five years now and have summer and winter models. I really like the new sole. I just don't think the motto one fits all for the shoes. My shoes are much too wide, they slip and crack. With the tanuki, which are very soft, that's no problem. But as soon as the material gets thicker or even two-layered, I'm out. Very unfortunate, there will probably be no more wildlings for me.

great children's shoes with improved sole

Tejo aubergine EU 27

My daughter has been wearing wildlings since she could walk. For winter and autumn, however, the “old soles” were very unusable. According to her own statement, this gives her significantly more grip. The color mix was also really good and immediately appealed to my daughter.

Size recommendation:

Buy one size larger.
